musician at loveland records:
Mads Hyhne
Trombone player Mads Hyhne is a steady performer of jazz, various forms of improv, and not so few things in between. Since his entrance on the Danish music scene, Hyhne has constantly shuttled between playing as a sideman in countless jazz constellations – from the experimental, radical sides of the genre to its 'classic' repertoires – and at the same time lending his sound to rock bands and the like. While doing this, Hyhne still manages to maintain a personal, highly melodic style of his own, both explicit as well as exceptionally rounded. This can be heard on recordings with such different artists as Pierre Dørges New Jungle Orchestra, Bug Powder, Murder and Mew. In the context of Loveland Records, Hyhne's playing is presented at its finest, showing the many facets of his musicianship.
