Jakob Dinesen (b. 1968).

As one of Denmark's most significant saxophone players, Dinesen has developed a highly personal and lucid style of his own. He was one of the founders of the groundbreaking band Once Around The Park and has been part of a pioneering generation of younger musicians, redefining the sound and relevance of jazz music in a Danish context. Among many others, Dinesen has toured and recorded with American guitarist Kurt Rosenwinkel and drummer Nasheet Waits, and for more than 10 years now, he has been an exceedingly active player involved in numerous constellations and music projects worldwide, collaborating with artists such as Eddie Gomez, Paul Motian and Ben Street to name a few.
