Andrew D'Angelo (b. 1966)

Andrew D'Angelo is one of those artists who can be said to incarnate a true 'avant-garde spirit', uncompromisingly exploring free forms, going way beyond traditional bounds and conventional musical barriers. D'Angelo is part of the progressive outfit Human Feel - also counting Jim Black, Chris Speed and Kurt Rosenwinkel - and has been performing in several constellations, sweeping from noise-, to rock-, and jazz-ensembles. As well as being a composer, D'Angelo plays the alto-saxophone and bass-clarinet as his main instruments, contributing with an unhesitating expressiveness, which is also the case on his own latest release " Skadra Degis " and when it comes to his collaborations with Jakob Bro.
